We're still getting unpacked and settled, but we're almost there. I've been job hunting on the internet this week but don't have any good leads yet. Eric got home last night and we're going to celebrate TO's birthday tonight. I made chili around lunch time and it's been simmering all day so hopefully it will be good.

I put up a bird feeder about a week and a half ago and I didn't think the birds were ever going to find it - but today they did. Early this morning we had the enjoyment of watching a large squirrel attacking the feeder. It's hanging on a rope from a tree branch. He would climb up from the deck railing and hang onto the feeder shaking it so the seeds would fall to the ground. Shortly after that a House Finch found the feeder and the squirrel was reduced to watching the bird eat from a branch. There are about half a dozen birds stalking the feeder now. Annie saw them so she's been watching closely and barking freequently. Fortunately the birds don't seem to mind her too badly. There are a couple other kinds of birds around, but I haven't been able to find them on the internet to see what they are yet.

We were also told that we might get snow this weekend! That would be super crazy - we'll see what happens :)
